To remove the Hummingbird Neighborhood icon from the Desktop for all users, do the following:
In the installation source, go to the Registry folder (CDRoot:\Exceed\x86\Program Files\Hummingbird\Connectivity\13.00\Default User\Registry) and edit the file "HN_Desktop.humreg". Note that this is a registry file and can be edited with notepad.
The last 2 lines in the file are:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\ NameSpace\{DB8DC413-C0AA-11D0-9545-080009B1C2F3}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\ NameSpace\{DB8DC413-C0AA-11D0-9545-080009B1C2F3}]
Notice the "-" (minus) sign at the beginning of the second key. Remove this and place it at the beginning of the key above it.
What this will do is remove the Desktop icon for all users and will put the icon into "My Computer".
Save the file and exit. When the app is installed, the Hummingbird Neighborhood will not be displayed on any user's Desktop but will be displayed in "My Computer".
If you don't want it to be displayed there either, just put the minus sign back into the reg file so that both keys (Desktop and My Computer) have the minus sign on them.
The Humminbird Neighborhood is still available in the Start Menu.
