Blue Screens since version 10.x

Is anyone else experiencing BSODs since upgrading to 10.x?

We had a serious issue with them on 10.0. We eventually started uninstalling the KaceAgent and that seemed to resolve it.  With 10.1.43, we started re-installing and it seemed OK. But once again the Blue Screens have started. All our workstations are on 1909 of Windows.

Is there something specific I should be looking for to determine the cause?

Thank you.

  • Finally narrowed down the issue to WinPCap. Only a single workstation has reported a Blue Screen since we updated the app using it (which now uses NPCap) and we can address that separately, as I am uncertain of the actual error message. - lnicholsmw 4 years ago

Have not heard of any report like one you are describing.

What is exact content of the BSOD message?

Also what is the content from the Windows Event log with the error?

  • Hello Kevin,

The BSOD is indicating "DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" for NDIS.sys.

I have yet to be able to grab detailed event log data, as users are anxious to get working again. That is my next goal.

Right now, I've only heard from 2 users since our upgrade to 10.1.43 and they are both on the same hardware. I need to look at the driver status.

Thank you. - lnicholsmw 4 years ago
  • We just got a handful more reports of BSODs, so the hardware is not singular. I am now trying to find time on a workstation so I can review the EventLogs. Wish me luck. - lnicholsmw 4 years ago
