changing of shortcut directory

i have created a custom action to map a drive install the msi then disconnect the drive.... but my issue is when launching the shorcut it refers back to the drive that is mapped.."which i dont want" so basically i  want to change the shorcut path so it doesnt have to access the mapped drive...any other info i will be willing to provide..

ALT***is there a custom action is to trick a mapped drive in to thinking its accessing the mapped drive to install but its not really doing so...would appreciate anybodies input

The image is illegible so you may as well remove it.

The trick to using non-available folders for shortcut paths (and we presume you're referring to it's "Start in" folder? We're really good as guessing this stuff, so there's no need to explicitly spell it out...) is to use a public property. Define it in the Property table and use it as '[SHORTCUT_STARTFOLDER_PROPERTY_NAME]'.

Are you creating nested installation????

Why do you want to map a drive and then disconnect?
