dream PXE setup
Hi.
Here's my "dream" setup for PXE, can someone let me know if it's possible?
I have a Windows 2008 R2 serving up DHCP addresses.
I have an FTP server that has firmware and configuration for Polycom phones.
I want to setup my environment so that -
- when I boot a phone or a computer without an OS, it will boot to a PXE server (Ubuntu 14.10)
- this PXE server will have a menu, "I am a phone", "Installing Windows" or "Install Ubuntu", with a five second timer. If no choice is made, I'd assume it's a phone and boot to FTP server
- if the user chooses "Installing Windows", it will then boot to Dell KACE (k2000) virtual appliance
- if the user chooses "Installing Ubuntu", it will boot into Ubuntu ISO
Thoughts? Advise? Think it's doable?
Thanks much for your kind attention!
