Help with task step: Search file system
Our K1000 is up to the current version 5.2. In the Verify section of a Task in an Online Kscript, I see a new type of task step I don't recall seeing before (and it's not in the Admin Guide): Search file system...
When I choose this, it has five parameters:
Type: a dropdown list of "file", "directory", or "both"
Name:
Directory:
Drives:
Action: a dropdown list of "delete", "log"
Can anybody tell me how to use this task step? I assume that Name is the file name. I assume that Directory is the top directory from which to start the search (because what else could it be?).
If the file is found and the action is "log", does this cause this Verification step to move to "On Success"? (While the file not being found would move to Remediation?)

Well, it didn't work as I'd guessed: on a machine where I know this file exists:
C:\Program Files\ThinkVantage Fingerprint Reader\ctlcntr.exe"
this following Search file system... task step in a Verify section went to the Remediation section (as though the file were not found):
Type: file
Name: ctlcntr.exe
Directory: \Program Files
Drives: C:
Action: log
So can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Sande
