How can I automatically "Inactivate" or "Disable" Sharepoint Patches

I have a request to "NOT" Patch SharePoint Servers.  Is there a way that KACE can automatically do this through Security/Patching, Scripting or Labels?

Answer Summary:
Create patching labels which don't contain them and patch against these labels.

inactivate the patches in the catalog.
And as second step create patching labels which don't contain them and patch against these labels.

  • Thank you for the response.

I have created a Patching Label that excludes any Patch Name that contains "Sharepoint".
I am able to "Inactivate" those patches manually from that Patching Label.
Is there a way to have KACE do the Inactivate step automatically? - hlh10231 4 years ago
    • if you only download the subscribed patches, you can exclude (via the patching labels) these patches from downloading and patching.

You can also go to kace.uservoice.com and request a feature to do so. - Nico_K 4 years ago
