How to deploy LifeCam v3.6 (eg. HD-5000)

In our current Windows 7 enviornment, when a user plugs in their webcam (LifeCam HD-5000) they are prompted to enter admin credentials to complete the setup.

It also appears the lifecam drivers don't offer anyway to be installed silently :'( http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/lifecam-hd-5000

More annoying though, is it install a basic driver which works fine. It just seems plugging this device in forces you yo install bloatware crap which requires admin rights.

I've no idea how we can deploy these webcams in our organisation without confusing and annoying our users. :'(

Humm, have you downloaded the drivers from the website and tried to nab them out of the %temp% folder? AND then deployed them to your computers?

I just ran the installer then and captured the files...

What deployment tool are you using?

Thanks for the try rileyz, however I tried that already unsucesfully. It appears the MSI in the setup folder can not be run outside of the setup.exe in the parent directory.. and the setup.exe in the parent directory seems to force an interactive install, where it tries to install some MS live services as well :'(
