I removed your other posts...

Anyway, I believe that is a known issue in version 7.0, it affects German, French and Spanish languages of the software.

Make sure you have both the ADK and it's PE Addon installed.

Update your KACE SDA to version 7.1 (the issue was fixed in 7.1):
https://support.quest.com/download-install-detail/6100994

Remove your 7.0 Media Manager
Download and install the 7.1 Media Manager

Before uploading, go to Settings in Media Manager, and click TEST SDA Connection, make sure it says pass.

Proceed to try again.

      • Hi
We have exactly the same problem.

Error: Make sure the path to the corresponding Windows kit is correct.
        KACE version is 7.1.94
        Media Manager Version is: 7.1.18.9
        Test SDA Connection successfully passed

If there is a suitable fix, please post it here. Maybe just a registry key needs to be deleted or an old program uninstalled. In this case, we do not have to burden the quest support with it. - Gerhart 4 years ago

I struggled for about two hours with this error, running SDA Media Manager 7.2.9.9 (the latest version at the time of this post).  I was running the latest (at the time of this post) Windows ADK, version 2004, with the Windows PE add-on (matching version 2004).  No matter what, I kept getting the confirm path error.  As a last attempt before contacting support, I removed the current Windows ADK and PE add-on, and installed the previous version 1903 - and it worked!  Downloads found here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/get-started/adk-install

So I managed to get it with the Kace Support up and running.

I managed to find the error by myself. If you take a look at the logs you can see that the MM is trying to give permissions to the user "everyone", which is in every other language impossible. With the 7.1 update, the tried to fix it, but not for all languages it seems.

In German, there is no working way to get this running, because the user "everyone" is hardcoded and not edible.

Just get a US English OS up and running and install the MM on there.

It should be working for you now.

The Kace Support said that they are currently working on a solution, which shouldn't be taking long for a hotfix.

Hope this will help!

Worked for me once I had Windows PE add-on for the ADK installed in addition Windows ADK, Quest documentation does not mention it

Comments:
  • Thanks kvewi,

    Thats it.

In earlier versions, the ADK PE add-on was included. Since version 1809 this is not so. It just had to be installed.

    It can be so easy.

Nico_K had written it already above.
I have to read exactly. - Gerhart 4 years ago
    • I had this same error message and installing the Windows PE add-on for the ADK fixed the issue - darthpillowtalk 4 years ago
