License Compliance Widget Locks up Google Chrome
This just started past this weekend. We login to Kace K1000 with Google Chrome and immediately Google Chrome locks up and after about 30 seconds reports unresponsive and kills the page. IE11 works but you can see a hesitation when loading the widgets but I can move around. After awhile going back to the Dashboard with IE11 the text starts to get blurry. (best way I can explain it) Close and reopen IE it gets better. This happens on all PCs that access the Admin site.
I found that if I disable the License Compliance Widget from the dashboard the system works perfectly. The instant that widget is added Chrome locks. I have not added all the widgets but that is the only one I found that causes this condition so far. I plan to test that today.
K1000 Version (virtual): 6.4.120261
Agent Version: 6.4.180
(We are a new implementation about to go live)
There have been changes such as Chrome updates, Flash Updates and Windows Updates. However one PC that I have without the latest updates has the same symptoms. Support has said this is a performance issue and requested I turn down the agent logging stuff. We I had previously done that after initial setup since those settings where more than we needed. Looking in the VMware performance for hardware and the Kace performance logs the system is barely working hard at all. It is currently has 327 agent reporting. (we are still in deploying which we should be up to 500) The VMware has plenty of resources and is set at of higher than the recommended specs. The underlying host is about 10% utilized. The site itself is very responsive with no indicators of slow loading or slow doing anything.
Wondering if anyone else has seen any issues with this? Still waiting on a response from support.
Thank you for your time,
Jason LaFrance

After much discussion with support they responded with this status:
"according with your issue we have a problem reportedalready with the defect ID K1-18281 with the title "License ComplianceWidget can crash, freezing dashboard (and browser)" , by now theWorkaround is removing the compliance widget from the home screen. If yourbrowser doesn't allow you to manage the widgets because it's frozen, use a differentbrowser.
This Problem is planned to be fixed on future softwarereleases . "
So if you are having the issue it sees as though it may be fixed in the future.
