Need quicktime msi for gpo

I have read all the notes and command lines and this is extremely time consuming.  I must ask if someone has a set of msi (apple application support and quicktime) that is already configured to disable updates and qttask with msts that they would be willing to share with me for Windows 7.

While it never hurts to ask, it is pretty unlikely someone will be able to provide you a deployment package customized as you state. Accepting that, here is some help to get you on your way...

First the stand alone package can be downloaded by going to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download

Once Downloaded start it and then open your temp folder(%temp%) and copy AppleApplicationSupport.msi

Lots of configration/deployment tips may be found here: http://www.itninja.com/software/apple/quicktime-player/6-1920

I have used installshield to customize it and it works fine. But it would be difficult to share.

I agree.  I'm still on Adminstudio 9.5 and for some reason it doesn't like to edit those msi files or create mst for them.  Throws errors stating no msi database is open.  I have 7.6.9 packaged except it still prompts for downloads because I can't add a qtp file to it.  Thought I would ask for a share since no point in all of us doing the same exact work over and over again.

  • I got the MSIs by downloading iTunes and using 7zip to unzip the .MSIs from the .exe. - WGM_Jeff 12 years ago
