Receiving error 4294967295 when attempting to deploy newly captured Win 7 image
Hi all,
A customer of ours has recently provided us with a new Win7 (legacy build) sysprep image which I've captured into Kace. I've captured a single partiton as a WIM & I've added Pre-Install tasks of Create Single Partition & Format c: as NTFS.
When I attempt to deploy the the image I receive a Task Error at the Apply Image stage with return code: 4294967295. Error description: Unknown error
Can anyone help please? I've only recently inherited the responsibility of managing our Kace appliance, I have captured & deployed images previously, just never had any problems with the images or had to carry out any troubleshooting

When you see "4294967295" during the Apply phase, 99% of the time it means:
"What you are trying to apply, does not match your current partitioning on this HDD\SSD"
If you have a single C: drive partition captured in your Image, you must have a C: drive created with enough space to hold your captured Partition.
When you see the error, open CMD right there, lauch DISKPART, do a LIST VOL and I'm sure you will see what is going on there...

Channeler's suggestion helped me to troubleshoot the issue
On the PC I'm trying to deploy the image to, C = 465GB NTFS partition & D = DVD-Rom.
However I checked on the original PC & Kace is identifying the following: C = system reserved volume & D = Windows
I obviously captured the Windows partition on the original PC, but didn't pay any attention to the assigned drive letter, so Kace is trying to deploy Windows to the D drive on the subsequent PCs.
Quest support team came back with a response this morning & suggested following the below KB article which has resolved my issue

I have had error 4294967295 before . This could be a partitioning error in the
deployment.
Can you say exactly which task is failing? Is it the creation of the
partition or the deployment of the image?
Have you checked the Bios to see if the "boot sequence " is set to legacy?
this link should help
