Sysprep and Imaging

After I setup my Master PC I want to create my image for on the k2000.  Do I need to run sysprep /oobe/generalize?  I will be trying to deploy this image to some other Dell's that are the same model and then some that are a model newer. I had read I will have to update the NIC driver before booting into the machines? Any truth to this?

I would also check out a few of our KKEs:

K1000 KKE's: https://support.software.dell.com/k1000-systems-management-appliance/kb?k=KKE

These should help give you a good base in the topics you are asking about.

You want to make a backup prior to sysprep to you can restore that one later to update, that way your images only have one sysprep on the counter.

You need to sysprep to prevent duplicate SID's.  I use sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:acadfall12cpnoname.xml

I pre-stage all my drivers in my master image
