Converting from WISE to InstallShield

Hi,

I am looking towards a new project that could involve converting from WISE Installer to InstallShield. Both would be MSI based.

We are taking a load of WISE stuff from a contractor, but we only use InstallShield 12 / AdminStudio.

So just wondering if its easy to convert from WISE builds to InstallShield builds? Obviously I know you can open the MSIs in both, but we would want to use the InstallShield IDE for future development and updates of the packages!

Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks.

not sure you can do this using InstallShield as it doesnt create and project file from an MSI unlike wise, you would probably have to script a solution.

installshield has the ability to convert wsi's.
else get the finished product msi and open it in wizard mode in adminstudio and convert it to a ism for you to edit.

Installshield does indeed open up WSI's , although it only list WSE's in the open dialog.
