MSI from Office 2007 Compatibility Pack & SP2

I am working on trying to get an MSI generated after combining the Office 2007 compatibility pack and SP2 to install together to deploy. I can get the two programs to install together and work properly but unlike when you just install the compatibility pack it doesn't put the MSI file in the MSECache folder.

Basically what I am trying to do is combine the msi file I have for 2007 compatibility pack and then the msp file that I have for SP2 to form a new MSI that includes both installs.

Any help would be appreciated as I am very new to creating packages for software.

Thanks...

IIRC, Office (and other recent MS packages) don't use patches in the previously accepted way, where you would run MSIExec with the '/P' argument. There is a whole diatribe on MSDN about it.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
