Run Microsoft FIX IT silently

[link]http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301[/link]

I am trying to uninstall Office 2003 from MS FIX IT utility. Even though it's an MSI but for some reason it doesn't support windows installer switches. I try to run the utility with /qb /passive /qn and it's not working. Anyone knows how to Run the FixIT utility silently?

I know this is an old thread, but I encountered it searching for a similar solution for Office 2010. The Microsoft Fixit to uninstall Office 2010 installs some scripts into %temp%\Fixit. You can copy monitor.vbs and OffScrub10.vbs from this location and run monitor.vbs to uninstall Office 2010 silently without accessing the entire Office 2010 install media. Something like:

cscript.exe /nologo monitor.vbs

should do the trick. You will need to modify monitor.vbs a bit to prevent the results page from showing (comment out or delete line 13 - the one beginning with objShell.run . . .)

i did. Ran some more testing to find out that it needed to include "Visual Basic for Applications" feature from the "Office Shared Features". All works well now.
