IT Departments Can Now Customize Acrobat to Meet Enterprise Needs

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., November 4, 2003 – InstallShield® Software Corporation today announced that Adobe Systems Incorporated has released InstallShield Tuner™ 6.0 for the Adobe® Acrobat® 6.0 software family, giving IT departments the ability to customize Acrobat prior to enterprise deployment.

However, IT managers often need to customize Acrobat prior to deployment to meet corporate standards. InstallShield Tuner provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to the Acrobat Installer that enables systems administrators to make, save and invoke modifications to the installer.

Remove shortcuts from the Desktop and Start menu.

Lock down certain settings to prevent end users from altering them.

Package the customized version of Acrobat for deployment via SMS, the network or FTP.
