(Nasdaq: MRBA), the Software Change-Management Company, today announced it has joined BMC SoftwareÂ’s MarketZone Product Alliance Program as a Premier Level member. As a MarketZone member, Marimba is working directly with BMC Software, Inc. (NYSE:BMC), the leading provider of enterprise systems management, to extend the availability of business-critical applications by allowing customers to proactively monitor the health of networks and applications, and take immediate action across a heterogeneous datacenter environment. Marimba and BMC Software also plan to participate in product integration, joint sales, and marketing efforts.
BMC SoftwareÂ’s PATROL technology helps companies proactively manage from a central console their entire enterprise in a secure manner to maximize productivity and ensure that applications are performing optimally. MarimbaÂ’s Software Change Management offerings provide automated software distribution capabilities to provision, change, configure, maintain, and repair distributed desktop and server applications from a central location. The two companies plan to develop a Knowledge Module that will integrate their offerings. Combined, the resulting solution from Marimba and BMC Software will provide a single, automated, end-to-end systems management offering.
