Using KACE with Firefox, Chrome

As a loyal Firefox user, I was disappointed when I found that there was no support for use in Firefox. After doing some searching, I discovered it was, actually, possible to run the KACE client through Firefox as well as Chrome with the use of a simple plugin called "IETab"

For Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd

For Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/ie-tab-2-ff-36/

Using this addon, you can open any IE-dependant web page with Firefox and  Chrome. The benefit of this is being able to use the plugins you use with these browsers - for example, I have my browser set up with a an addon that allows a triple frame in a single window, allowing me to open the Computer Inventory, Scripting, and Help Desk pages of the KACE client all at once - instead of opening them individually and waiting for our, occasionally slow, network to load the pages one by one.

A very small fix to allow more diverse and creative control over your workstation.

  • Thank you for the plugin! I despise IE and use Chrome exclusively. - aaronr 12 years ago
  • I was running Kace in Chrome (with no issues) I have 2 split frames on top of 1 bottom frame, everything was working great in version 6.4.
We updated to 7.0, and now if ANY of kace is in an html frame or iframe it seems the data does not display within the frame correctly...
Has anyone else seen this?? any one have any fixes?? other than running 3 tabs within web browser?
    Thanks
