1603 error

I just bought the Lego Star Wars II game and tried to install on my win xp sp2 with regular auto updates using Administor user. But I encountered an error message:

Error 1330. A file that is required cannot be installed becuase the cabinet file F:\Defaul~1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt. Error 3 was returned by WinVerifyTrust.

Then another message:

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

I tried it with my friend's older PC also win xp sp2 but without any further updates after sp2. It was installed fine. I read the 1603 posting here and tried the installer cleanup utility, uninstalled the Ad-ware, disabled the Symantec antivirus file system protection, but none help. Can anybody advise me what I can do next?

Extract all the files from the install disc to a folder on the hard drive. Then, find the file named "Defaul~1.cab" or just "Defaul~1", and rename it to something else. Run the Setup. It will try to install, and complain that "Defual~1.cab cannot be found". Without exiting the Setup, rename the file back to it's original name, and hit "retry/continue". The install should then work like normal.

Lucas Arts has been made aware of the problem and is working on a fix

You most likely will need to install this recently released patch from Lucas Arts:

This patch is actually a full blown intaller, so you just download and run it to install the program.
