Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Prof. adjustment problem
HI,
Maybe someone can help me with the following?
background:
I have adjusted the MSI file from Adobe, so the complete installation is now customised to our company standard.
However, when I start the application after installation, it gifs an irritating registration message. You can choose to press the button "Later". After this, the next time I start the program the message doesn't come up any more.
Problem:
My problem is that I don't know when the application will ask to register again, "Later" is a relative thing..
Possible Solution:
The following REG KEY and VALUE are created after pressing "Later":
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\6.0\Registration]
"PRODREG"=dword:65686669
Now my guess is, that there is a different value, that results in a very long registration period.
Question:
So my Question is, does anybody now how I can fix this problem? Maybe with the registry key I pointed out, maybe with a different one?
Manny thanks in advance.
Greets,
Funny

FunnyName,
1. can you detail for us what you customized in the .msi, and what tool you used to do it?
2. Every version of Acrobat has proven fickle to deploy. Although version 6 is in .msi, it can still be troublesome. I have had the greatest success using Adobe's InstallShield Tuner for Acrobat to create a transform and an administrative installation point.
I use Wise 99% of the time or more when creating or editing .msi. Acrobat falls under that 1% where I try not to touch it with anything but the Tuner.
