Adobe Creative Suite

Hi there,

has anyone deployed this annoying software?

There is an official text from Adobe, that there is no silent installation.
So i tried to install single application from the suite cds(which are nice InstallShield packages) but i dont have a serial number for the single products. Only for the whole suite. This is not working with the single products.

My next attempt: Installing with a macro which is making the user interaction. So far so good. But while the installation si still in progress the setup.exe is shut down. So my deployment software thinks, that the product is installed

Any ideas?

The following link could be your answer

http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331297.html

I'm using this within a vbscript and Novell's ZenWorks to distribute/install CS2 on our XP network.

Greetz,

No ideas on my end for this product also. I tried a repackage with SMS but the applications all failed when I attempted to launch them. I am very disappointed that there is no MSI file or .ini answer file to help automate.

Good luck!

Installshield snapshot AD GPO Computerpackage, be aware this is not small stuff more than 500 meg

Articles can be found on all products in the package, package behavior alike make MSI one per product

PhotoShop:

You have that one allready

That article from Adobe well !! it just tells you that administrative deployment is not supportet out of the box you have to repackage the product. These articles by puppy did it for me.

Nice one PhilG :)

We are almost getting to the point where the PackageKnowledgeBase should have an Adobe section to itself because their apps seem to cause the most bother.

I agree with MSIMaker. I've just spent the last week getting Audiition 1.5, Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop Elements 3.0 and now Creative Studio 2 working on our XP network. and all have been different !
