Adobe Flashplayer 10.0.12.36 - Error
Hi All ,
Currently Im testing Adobe Flashplayer 10.0.12.36. Im getting the follwoing error after the installation. We do install this through radia, the thing is radia report shows install successful whereas the eventviewer throws the following error.
"FlashPlayer_03 -- Error 1406.Could not write value to key \CLSID\{0BE09CC1-42E0-11DD-AE16-0800200C9A66}\LocalServer32. System error . Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel"
I tried to install using local admin user but even then it didnt install.
Can anyone tell me why im getting like this? Please advise me
Thanks in advance!

Geetha

Irrespective of which account you're using or what privileges it ought to have, that error message is pretty clear: the account being used doesn't have the privilege required to write to that registry location.
Now, there are a few packages (and applications, too) which deem it their right to walk all over workstation permissions and our friends at Adobe are past masters at this nonsense. I believe you'll find that the key highlighted will have all permissions removed from it, except for 'Everyone:R'. No amount of manipulation with CACLS, XCACLS, SetACL, you_name_it will alter it once it's set. Your only feasible option is to first rebuild the workstation and then return to the Flash MSI and disable whatever brain-dead process caused this issue.
