Adobe Illustrator 11

Hi all,

I am having a issue with the above software, I will start from the top.

I used Wise SetupCapture then used Wise Installer Editor v5. All goes ok, then I compile the software. All the above goes with out a problem.
I then try and run the new MSI file on a blank machines and the following error comes up "The Adobe Illustrator application can't run because it has been damaged. Please reinstall from your master disks" I click ok and then another message appears saying
"Adobe Illustrator cannot run".

This is the second time I have tried, as the first time. I went through and copied all the files and registry in to it, just incase it missed some out.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Cheers lads

Edit the ABCPY.ini file to remove the setup dialogs and enter the default install dir, reg info and serial number, then wrap it into an MSI using WIWW (http://sywan.nl/metatraffic2/track.asp?mtr=/download/WIWW_0.0.0.1.zip). Make sure to confirm you have a 100% silent install before making an MSI file, once you do, just run the MSI from the directory where the install files exist and voila. You may need to test it for all users and make sure that the registration info in the registry is readable by all users otherwise you may get a registration error.

Thegunner,

I'm sure that someone answered this in the forums a few months ago....there is a key that Illustrator looks for on startup and you have to include it.

Do a forum search on "Illustrator" and see.....in the meantime I'll check my notes here and see if I can find the clue.

Before you post a message like this check the package section of AppDeploy!

http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=266

It worked for me.

Hi,
I had exactly the same problem with Adobe Illustrator 11 and wise 5.51, as a solution I did export 2 registry keys under :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{3CE32B27-4A57-459C-8474-DC22ABBCD80B}

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe SVG Viewer

but it didn't work with Wise 5.51
The good news is that it worked with Wise 4.62, It must be some excluded entrys in wise 5.52 that cause that error.

Good Luck
