adobe reader 7

I used adobe tuner to create a transform file and a response file for adobe reader 7 deploy. I am trying to deploy to machines via GPO. I cannot get the install dialog boxes suppressed. Anyone know if this can be done ? I am very new to packaging (only tried adobe, hummingbird and O2k3, only o2k3 works). Thank you !

If you don't need to apply any custom settings with the HKCU, then all you have to do is open the Acrobat Reader 7.0.msi and make the following changes. Make sure you get all the files that are extracted during the install with the .exe from Adobe. If you haven't done this, then please look at the packages section on this web site.

- Make sure a Property called EULA_ACCEPT is set to Yes.
- If using WISE Package Studio, go to the Setup Editor. Then go to the Dialogs Tab. Then deselect every dialog except SetupProgress under the Install Dialogs section. This will allow you to just double click on the msi to install and just see a progress dialog. (I don't know how other systems allow you to do this.)
- I also change the administrator options under the Installation Expert in Wise to be a Per-Machine installation, and to Never Reboot and to suppress the reboot prompts.

I don't use a mst with this but modify the msi package directly.

Hi,

Are you doing this as a basic install through GPO or Advanced?

advance with a response transform.. the response transform is created thru the acrobat tuner but doesn't seem to work.. can't suppress the install screens
