Adobe Reader 8.0: Internal Error 2352

I've had to reinstall Adobe Reader 8.0 on a couple machines due to the application no longer working but when I go to install it, I receive the error message "Internal Error 2352" and the install closes out. This was originally a software package I built with an MST. I even tried going to the Adobe website and downloading the lastest installation files but still receive this error. I was able to resolve this on one machine by reimaging it. Anyone know what causes this error?

Windows Installer error 2352 is related to the cabinet.dll file located in "%SystemRoot%\System32".
It's either missing or corrupted.

Yeah that's what I thought but what would cause this corruption?

The fact that re-imaging one of your machines fixed the problem may be a clue: have you tried copying that machine's copy of the DLL to the defective machine to see if that makes a difference? I'd be willing to bet that the file has acquired some bizarre permission(s) which prevent it being read.
