App-V goes for checking updates

I created an app-v package using sequencer 4.6 sp1 and when I click on the shortcut it shows checking for updates in the systen tray ie at right bottom corner. why is this happening and what is the resolution for that?

I thought that this is because the application will check for updates and tried to find it out but there is no option to check for updates in the application. please help me

or his can easily happen if you use the wrong convention for specifying a UNC path as an HREF for the SFT file in the application’s OSD file.

its 'App-V related, not the application.

Does the application start (after the message)?

first results on Google:

The "Checking for Upgrade" message does not only indicate that the Client is looking for Application updates. It also "refreshes" the User Authorization Verification to determine if the User still is allowed to launch the applications (maybe the User was removed from the authorization group after the Publishing Server Refresh or to check if valid concurrent licenses are there).

So, this checking indeed is usefull and you should not try to avoid it by setting the client to Offline Mode. In fact it may add another 2-3 seconds to the Launch process, but in a VDI environment that should not count to much.
