Application Discovery Management (Software)
Hi All,
Just wondering what people are using for Application Discovery Management.
I currently know of Sparkle Flow and Acresso Worflow Manager in this space.
Has anyone had experience with either product?
Are there others out there that you use?
Cheers

Hmm SparkleFlow says:
First choose your edition:
SparkleFlow for Wise Currently available
SparkleFlow for SoftGrid Currently available
SparkleFlow for AdminStudio Currently available
SparkleFlow for App-V Currently available
And the Acresso Worflow Manager seems (understandably) heavilly integrated with AdminStusio.
I've not personally heard of anyone using either product.
We use WPS own process design to manage the pacakging process and our own in house tool for managing requests from discovery though to decommissioning.
We used Camwood's appTracker for a while, but it's rather overpriced for what it is.. (this is just my opinion obviously).
Regards,
Rob.

There's a trial of Acresso Workflow Manager as well. If you're not using Installshield, then don't look at this one.
I've run the trial and it's pretty slick. It's expensive, but I could see it being very useful if you had a large packaging team (especially if they're in different physical locations) and multiple requestors and approvers.

Thanks for the reply all.
I looked into workflow manager many years ago.
And at that time they wouldnt even talk to you unless you had over 25,000 clients.
Times have changed and now they offer the product to lower counts.
Im currently using Adminstudio with the virtual pack.
But I care little for the integration aspect, more concerned with the other parts of the workflow.
Sounds like running up trials of both products is the only way.
Cheers
