Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)
Hi everyone .
I am facing a unique error. I have a rapackaged an setup.exe and when I am trying to install the msi its prompting for the reboot. And the same thing with uninstallation .But the problem is after uninstallation and reboot .I am getting an error
Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) click ok to terminate the process. When I am clicking ok I am getting a blank blue screen. Then I have to revert the virtual machine to get to previous state.

Clearly you have a major problem with the package.
The first thing I'd be doing is finding out what the package is actually installing. If it inteferes with the loading of Explorer/the Desktop (my inference from your description of "blue screen" - unless it's the infamous Blue Screen Of Death, of course), then I'd say your package has replaced system files or messed with system registry settings.
BTW, this forum is designed for dealing with errors returned by the Windows Installer engine (see the link 'MSI Errors' above for examples). This post ought to be in the 'Package Development' forum. A moderator may move it.
