i have seen my seniors but din't find them more successfull as compared to the people in other technologies like networking, developement etc.


What do you mean by being successful? Growing up the ladder in career OR is it about achieving technical excellence?

About your specific questions -
Specially in India, at the moment there are huge growth prospects, even freshers get packaging jobs easily by mugging up few standard interview questions...(Unfortunately, most of the Interviewers themselves don't understand the technology).

People spend very less time doing technical work and expect to become TL, Manager etc soon..and also you get such opportunities quickly in Offshore firms.
The complete focus is on customer billing, who cares about your technical ability/inability?

I'll suggest to stick to what you are doing right now (packaging & virtualization) and do it better.

i mean growing up the ladder by achieving technical excellence.............
but i havent seen any one with that in this field.

That is why i want to knw is there any other technologies which can be carry out with application packaging.
