Automatic deployment of HP Scanjet N6310 TWAIN driver

Hi!

I'm trying to deploy the HP Scanjet N6310 TWAIN driver through SCCM with an automatic/silent install, without much success. The file in question is setup_EMC_N6310_14-5.exe. Installing it manually works fine and then i can use the TWAIN driver for scanning, but i can't seem to find any switches for it to make it silent. I have tried starting the installer and then getting the extracted files from the %tmp% folder, and then running the installation with the extracted setup.exe file, which supports silent mode. This seems to install everything needed, but the TWAIN driver is not recognized by my scanning software, only the WIA-HP Scanjet N6310 driver is.

Does anyone have any clues on how to make the setup_EMC_N6310_14-5.exe silent?

Thank you :)

  • Ooooh! Somebody else who's keen to have a vendor obliterate their carefully-crafted build!

Capture it, if it's not already executing an MSI (and most of the Hp stuff I come across uses Windows Installer, albeit wrapped in EXEs).

Once you've got the INF, all you need is DiFx and you're set. It becomes just another driver package. - anonymous_9363 10 years ago
  • Could you please provide the silent switch you used to install the Setup.exe - gyana002 10 years ago
