Bloomberg config.ini silent install file
Hi all,
Does anybody have the syntax of the config.ini file used when installing Bloomberg Professional software. The link on the Package Details page is broken.

I figured it out! Run through the bloomberg setup. After it is finished, go to your temp directory and open setup.blp. That is the file you want.

Anyone have any info on this.. I am trying to use the config file with the /cfg= switch naming the file setup.blp and config.ini and it doesnt load anything from it. Ive used the
MainDir= ANYTHING and it wont change the directory, it always installs to the default blp folder. Any ideas?

Hello,
i have the same Problem on version "sotrt1207". I think the config.ini or setup.blp is ignored. The "Conn-type = B" is not on function too Did everybody have any idea?

I found it!
the right syntax is:
sotrt050710.exe /s /cfg=mysetup.blb
and the file must not be setup.blp, it must give it a personal name! It will not work if you use setup.blp

There also can not be spaces in the path to the .BLP file. And you can not enclose the path in quotes to get around the no spaces limitation.
With SCCM 2007 I have been copying the file custom.blp to the local temp drive then calling then install
sotrtMMDDYYYY.exe /s /cfg=%TEMP%/custom.blp
it will also work to have SCCM require the install to run from a specific mapped drive but you have to call the .blp path explicitly in the command
