Calling an EXE using a BAT during the uninstall process.
Hi !
I have an EXE file that I have to launch at the install AND the uninstall (This file install/uninstall a network protocol).
I currenty launch this file using a .BAT :
At install time, no problems, I install the files I need, and then launch the .BAT.
At uninstall time, I launch this BAT file :
Of course, I launch this BAT before the real uninstall of the files I need.
Now, my problem :
I didn't found in InstallShield 10.5 a custom action using a .bat file, so I made an EXE Custom Action and then modified it. That make me think I'm doing something which maybe should not do.
Do you have any other solutions ?
Thanks !
P.S : If you have any solution which could allow me not to install the EXE_FILE (using it as temporary file, installed just during the install/uninstall), please tell me !
