Can anyone recommend some good books?
I am a long time ready of these forums, and wanted to call on the knowledge of the community one more time.
I started repackaging 2 years ago. After repackaging 20+ installations have a pretty good understanding of how .msi's work but I would like to have a more advanced understanding of the inner workings of the .msi model.
I am looking for a book that will give me a more advanced understanding of .msi's. Specifically Wise for Windows Installer but a generic book on the .msi model would be great.
I searched the forum, and didn't find a similar thread. If this has already been covered i apologize.
Thanks!
Garrett

There is a list over here: http://www.installsite.org/pages/en/msi/books.htm
I've read the realtime publishers ones and they are good for getting your feet wet but I am not sure what I would recomend for a really in depth book. You might have to look at the titles written for application developers rather than administrators.

Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
