changing reginal setting thru package

Hi,

I am doing an application called recon.
User wants control panel->regional and language options->lauguages->Install files for east asian languagesto be unchecked from the package itself. is that possible?

I'm not quite sure If I understand what you mean but If you want to install some files or not depending on the International language in the registry under "HKCU\Control Panel\International"you could use AppSearch to fetch the registry into a property, evaluate the value and set a condition on the component(s) holding these files based on the AppSearch value.

Hi,

The application which i am working on will not launch if we are not unchecking control panel->regional and language options->lauguages->Install files for east asian languages

It is throwing me error.

As this is the change to the build we need to know which registry key is responsible for the above mention checkbox...

any guess???

on XP you can use rundll to reset regional settings.

there is an unattended file setup very similar to what you would find in sysprep.

have a look at www.dx21.com

it has a list of most rundll commands i know for sure the regional settings one is on this site.
