Command lines for PATCH..
Hi,
I have some strange problems in installing Patches.I have a MSI package and a patch (msp).
I copy these 2 files to C Drive and on the command prompt i change to working dir to c:\
Now on the command prompt.
C:\Msiexec /i MyMSI.msi PATCH=MyMsp.msp errors out saying patch can not be opened.
But, C:\Msiexec /i MyMSI.msi PATCH=C:\MyMsp.msp works.. (Patch file always needs full path to it..)
Is this a know error in msiexec 2.0... any alternatives as i always do not know the source path during deployment..

Confused...
If you are using the MSIEXEC command, then are you trying to patch the MSI (admin point), or are you just trying to install the patch onto the current workstation?
