CONFIGURING ODP.NET
I have an immediate requirement. My application requires odp.net as pre-requisite. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/dotnet/index-085163.html . The issue it is not an .msi or .exe file. It has configure.bat and unconfigure.bat batch files.. If i include it with the package how do i run it before? The .bat files run if there are no spaces in the directory.. How to solve this silently? Vry Urgent issue

(1) It should be a seperate package.
(2) Which ODAC are you installing? You should be able to search this site to find deployment tips, but did you read the readme.htm that came with the install files? It looks like it would be best to deploy the installation files to the local C: drive and run the install from there, as opposed to trying to run it from a server.
(3) Only select the tags that apply to your question; in this case, you only need two I left you. Adding additional tags will only cause frustration.

The issue is I don't want the ODAC Complete install. Just the ODP.NET. (ODP.NET_managed121010.zip). I tried to find tips from this site but couldn't find any so had to tag everyone, to find anyone who could help. Do i need to create a separate package(installer) for odp.net? How should i install it when it runs the install through configure.bat in its files. Please explain me as i HAD tried in various forums but all in vain... - mareddy9999 11 years ago

I can create an Installer FILES pointing to C:\, but does it doesn't have anything to do with the Oracle Database... I am concerned about the functionality.. How can i add the CA to run configure.bat? It should be run as administrator... How should i give the CA? - mareddy9999 11 years ago
