creating a message when user installs a package
sWe have several msi/mst package solutions left behind by the previous IT guy and they work pretty well ….. in fact, too well!
Users are clicking on every software package that is going. Unfortunately our licences/funds are not unlimited.
I have been asked to see if the current msi/mst solutions can be adapted to flash up warnings about licensing/cost issues, and general warnings not to install a package unless there is an absolute need. Perhaps some custom script that flashes up warnings and then "loads" the existing msi/mst packages???
I have been told NOT to restrict users from downloading any package as all software needs to be available instantly without the users needing to jump through hoops to get them (users work late at night, our IT guys don't).
Thanks
