Crypkey License Service

Hi
I am currently packaging Dyadem PHA-Pro 6 and cannot after exhausting all possibilities get this service to remove on uninstall.

The service executable is at c:\windows\system32\crypserv.exe.

I am using installshield.

Anyhelp greatly appreciated.

Hi Oreilly:

Can this service be manually stopped? in case yes, then you could write a vbscript or a batch script with this line:

net stop servicename

I hope this would help , still you require any clarifications regarding the same kindly revert back.

Sounds to me like it is a kernel service.....if it is then a reboot is required to remove it

Place your stop service in the msi but dont remove it and place a custom action in your RUN key to delete the file on system startup.

Once the system restarts the crypserv.exe wont be there to restart.
