DB2 silent installation deployed thru Tivoli
App: DB2 UDB Enterprise Server Edition V8.1
Method of Dist: Tivoli
Has anyone had problems with deploying a DB2 pkg (or any package) where there is a specific user account that needs to install the app?
In Tivoli distributions, the app is installed by the Tivoli user which SHOULD be and IS an Admin but in the case of DB2, the installation fails with RC=1603 with Verify User Prereq's, which leads me to believe that this Tivoli user doesn't have full Admin rights to install the app.
Some things that I've tried is I've used the Tivoli user and the machine's Administrator account in my DB2 response file, tried psexec.exe to switch user names during the install, but so far, none has worked...
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...
