delayed software upgrade

I am wanting to upgrade 700 computers that use shoretel comunicator software to new mitel software.

However, I would like the software to download to each computer and stay there for about 45 days until we are ready to upgrade the shoretel servers.

i have a managed installation that i have tested and works well but I do not see an option to specify a specific date for installation.

Unfortunately, managed installs will check if a device inside your Label has the software, if doesn't, it will be pushed immediately.

The software dependencies will not be downloaded if the managed install doesn't ask for it.

What you are asking for, is a way to push the Managed Install's dependencies without running the install commands... that won't be possible, but it sounds like a good feature, you might want to post your idea here:

  • i don't necessarily need to do a managed install. If KACE has another method of doing this that anyone knows about i'm all about trying something else. - SandMan005 5 years ago

When we cut over I used an offline kscript to install initially and then switched to a MI for the leftovers.  Make sure you also install the prereq

vstor_redist.exe /Q
msiexec /i "Mitel Connect.msi" /qn /norestart
