Dell Latitude 7440 ultra Books

Hello,

We purchase 25 of these machines and reset them to windows 7. We have run into a problem where the display will filicker adn then come back when it is docked.

So far I ahve udpated all drivers to match the KACE 1000 dell udpate inventory and also flahsed the bios. I have no explination why this is happening.

Any had this issue before? This only happens when it is docked.

workaround is to undock the device adn then dock it back. Displays come back.

You are not the only one it seems: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19532685.aspx

I'd check your driver versions against the ones on support.dell.com as the ones in the KACE driver feed may not be completely up to date (they usually are not): http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/latitude-e7440-ultrabook

It appears there is a firmware update for the USB hub that will help: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/latitude-e7440-ultrabook?driverId=1XFPM&osCode=W864&fileId=3330366653&languageCode=en&categoryId=VI

The A07 BIOS also has a fix for an unrelated screen flicker: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/latitude-e7440-ultrabook?driverId=YCXJ0&osCode=W864&fileId=3333156743&languageCode=en&categoryId=BI

If all else fails, open a support ticket with Dell and it should get sorted out.
