Deploying Registry Key Changes with SMS 2003 to Combat Spyware
I created a registry key to restrict domain access to known spyware sites. The .reg file was repackaged as a .msi for deployment to multiple computers. I created a .mst to customize the installation. The command line to deploy this registry change on all computers reads as the following:
msiexec /i Restricted Domains.msi tranforms=Restricted Domains.mst /qn
My advertisement status reports an error 1603. This failure exit code has always been difficult to resolve. Could someone suggest another command line switch, perhaps? What else should I check to ensure package installs successfully. I'm a novice user of AdminStudio 6 Pro Edition. If anyone knows another method that helps with this suite of packaging and deployment apps. I welcome your advice.
