I tried lot, to know the difference between Self heal and repair in Google, but i got confused because different answers in forums and in other websites, can any one explain what exactly the difference between these two?

The most fundamental difference is in how they are initiated.
Self-healing starts when an application is launched and certain missing/failed components are detected by the application That launches a self-heal automatically. For more information on that, see http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-does-package-self-heal
A repair, on the other hand, is a more complete reinstall and is launched outside the application via msiexec .
An explanation of exactly what the difference is would take a bit more space; I think that this is a good starting point.
