Dreamweaver MX to Dreamweaver CS3 Migration...
Hello everyone,
Does anyone have experience with migrating from Dreamweaver MX (version 6) to Adobe Dreamweaver CS3? I'm building a software package for Dreamweaver CS3 and noticed that settings from Dreamweaver MX aren't migrating to Dreamweaver CS3. Settings such as user's FTP sites, upload / download folders etc (anything the user created). Settings carry over fine from Dreamweaver MX 2004 (v7) and Dreamweaver 8 & 8.02.
Dreamweaver 6 uses a setup.iss file (just like MX 2004) to specify to retain user settings. I've recreated this file 3 times just in case I was doing something wrong but still no luck. Is it just given that version 6 just doesn't carry over settings to Dreamweaver CS3 and you need to re-import them? I also checked the user profile settings and the Macromedia Folder is still present after the uninistall of the old verson (it's in a subfolder called "Site Cache"). Even though the folder still remains from version 6, Dreamweaver CS3 just doesn't point to it.
Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
