Error 1904 on the clean OS

Hi All,

i posted this question on symantec site, but got no reply so far. i was wondering if someone here could help.

made a package in wise 6.2, i get 1904 error only when the installer runs on the clean OS for the first time, if i run it for the second time the installation goes on ok and all the dll files get registered.
I tried to remove selfreg entry and use CA to register all the dlls using regsvr32, but did not help. It is just the first time i run the installer i get the error1904, any idea why this happens.
If i try manually registering the dll's all get register or if other software is installed i do not have this issue.

I would hazaard a guess that the files are being copied after the registration step. You will need to check your sequences and move the the file registration to the end.

Don't use self-registrations for COM-components, add it as advertised instead!

Thanks for the reply.
Added a batch file to register all the dll's after the reboot.

Added a batch file to register all the dll's after the reboot.Do you use a hammer to drive in screws, too? Why not learn how to do the job properly rather reaching for the blunt instrument?
