esri arcgis 9.0
Has anyone had a successful packaging of ArcGIS 9.0?
From the few postings I can find no one has done one.
I am attempting to do one now. I had the idea or registering the product and build it and then have Tivoli deploy it.
Does anyone know that if a version is registered it will work only on the client it was registered on?
I have not read anything from ESRI's registration information that would lead me to believe this. Unlike Autocad 2005 which will do this.

Haha - I'm working on that software now - version I'm doing is ArcGIS Desktop 9... and we are using network licensing which is making things a bit easier. I'm working on a transform for vendore MSI (after creating an admin install).
ESRI have really got on top of deployment with this version - loads of useful info on their web site, best bits are:
Deploying Managed ArcGIS 9 Setups PDF
HowTo: Create a transform .MST file for the ArcGIS Desktop 9.0 setup
Good luck, I'm doing well so far - long way to go though. Gotta cover SP3 and about 6 plug-ins that are required.
Regards,
Rob.
