Google Earth updater service

Is there a possibility to disable the updater service in google-earth by meaning of an registry change. Such as disableupdate=1? I have to distribute a package to all users in our network and have to work with auomatic changes and no handwork on several single machines. Preriquisites: Internetexplorer IE6.
"google-earth plugin.msi" /qn is the sms command i will work with. I make No changes in the msi but will work with a mst file.
Wo can help?

Have you located the offending setting in the registry..?

Similar issues were encountered here to disable tool-tips - but the principals are by no means are specific to google earth :-)
