How to set a directory as hidden in the msi
Hi,
I have a directory in start Menu which needs to be hidden for all users.
How to do it using installshield ? Is writing a custom action the only means to do it?
If yes, can u please get me the custom action to hide a directory.
Thanks,
AjM

I'm struggling to see what the point is of having a hidden directory in the Start menu...
Anyway, I can't think of a way to do that natively so yes, a Custom Action is the way to go. As for 'getting' a CA, there must be a million examples on the Web on handling file and folder attributes. Find one (I find the samples at Computer Performance http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/vbscript/index.htm to be generally of good use) and use it as an embedded VBScript Custom Action.
