I need to do a discovery on Matlab 2009a
I need to do a discovery on Matlab 2009a but it will not let me go any furthur because it needs a license key.
I only want to test this on windows 7 and we can enter license key later but this software does not let me do it as a trial run.
I need to have this ready for the packaging team.

Answer Summary:
Silent activation of standalone licenses was introduced with MATLAB R2009a. Silent activation is available for two activation scenarios: offline activation (requires that a license file be manually generated at the License Center) and unassociated activation. Unassociated activation is only available for certain Designated Computer license types. To use silent activation you must first complete the self-documented template activate.ini file. The activate.ini file can be found on a MATLAB installation DVD or among the installation files created by running the Installer.exe provided with MathWorks product downloads. You must specify the location of the completed activate.ini file either in a completed installer.ini file (used during silent installation) or as a command line argument when launching either the Activation Client or MathWorks Installer.
