Installers doing SQL Checks mess up silent install

First off, I'm dealing with older technologies here.  I don't have an MSI to edit.  I'm using a Setup.exe with a setup.iss that I created.  This is the second instance I've come across where mid way through the install, it wants the connectivity information for the SQL server.  It then tries a connectivity check with the server.  Whether it passes or fails, when it gets to this point in the Silent Install, it stops with a result code "3".

The first time I got it, I just ended up using AdminStudio to take a snapshot and that worked, but now it's come up again.

I was wondering if anyone out there had a method for getting a Setup to ignore this check?

Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks in advance

Older installers did not support SQL dialogs by default so were commonly custom authored and hence may not be captured when you are creating the iss which will give the error code you see.

Repackage is your easiest and best bet.
